We get it β€” walks are stressful

You're constantly scanning the horizon for other dogs. Every walk feels like a military operation β€” checking corners, watching for off-lead dogs, planning escape routes before you've even left the house.

You cross the road to avoid triggers. You turn around and walk the other way. You've become an expert at reading body language β€” your dog's and every other dog's within 200 metres.

And through it all, the guilt creeps in. Your dog deserves off-lead time. They deserve to run, to sniff, to just be a dog β€” but how can you let them off when you can't control what's around the next corner?

How Keynsham Dog Park helps

No Other Dogs

Your area is exclusively yours for the full session. No surprise encounters, no triggers, no stress β€” just your dog and the space to enjoy it.

6ft Secure Fencing

Fully enclosed on all sides with 6ft secure fencing. Your area is completely private β€” no other dog can enter your space. If an adjacent area is booked at the same time, dogs may be able to see each other at the shared fence line, though many find the distance and barrier enough to relax.

Space to Decompress

50 minutes in a wide, open area where your dog can move at their own pace. No rush, no pressure β€” just the freedom to be a dog.

How it works

1. Book online

Pick your date, time, and area. The whole process takes under a minute and you'll get instant confirmation.

2. Get your gate code

Your unique access code is emailed to you 3 hours before your session. No keys to collect, no one to meet.

3. Enjoy exclusive access

The field is yours. No one else will be in your area for the full 50 minutes. Let your dog off-lead and relax.

Our three areas sit side by side β€” here's what that means for your dog

Keynsham Dog Park has three privately enclosed areas arranged next to each other, each separated by a shared fence line. Your area is always exclusively yours β€” no other dog can enter your space β€” but if an adjacent area is booked at the same time, your dog may be able to see the other dog at the shared fence line.

For some reactive dogs, this is actually a positive. Controlled visual exposure at a safe distance β€” with a solid fence between them and no risk of contact β€” is exactly the kind of low-pressure practice many owners use as part of a desensitisation programme. The distance and barrier take the pressure off, and dogs who are anxious around others often surprise their owners by how well they cope.

For others, any visual trigger is too much. If your dog is highly reactive, struggles to focus once they know another dog is near, or if you simply want complete peace of mind, the proximity of an adjacent booking can feel like a dealbreaker.

If that's you, the good news is that there's an easy fix.

Book with a Reactive Dog Account

Register for a Reactive Dog Account and every booking you make automatically blocks out the adjacent area β€” guaranteeing your dog has no neighbours for the full session. You get complete control over the buffer around your dog, every single time, without having to check the calendar or time your bookings carefully.

  1. Click the link below to open the registration page.
  2. Fill in your name, email, and password.
  3. When asked β€œWhy do you need a business account?”, select: β€œI am not a business β€” I have a reactive dog and need the adjacent area blocked when I book.”
  4. Create your account. You'll be taken straight to the booking page.
  5. Book as normal. The neighbouring area is automatically blocked every time you book, so at least a full park width separates your dog from any other visitor β€” every session, guaranteed.

Sessions are Β£12.50 (vs Β£8 for a standard booking) to cover the cost of holding the neighbouring area. For many reactive dog owners, the extra peace of mind is more than worth it.

Common questions from reactive dog owners

Will there be other dogs on site?
No other dog will enter your area β€” your session is fully exclusive. However, our three areas sit side by side, so if another customer has booked an adjacent area at the same time, your dog may be able to see them at the shared fence line. If you'd prefer no dogs in view at all, our live booking calendar shows all availability so you can pick a quiet slot β€” or our Business Account option (Β£12.50/session) automatically blocks the adjacent area when you book.
What if my dog is dog-aggressive?
Dogs that struggle around other dogs can do really well here β€” your area is fully enclosed and no other dog can enter your space. It's worth knowing that if an adjacent area is booked at the same time, dogs may be able to see each other at the fence line. For some this is fine; for others it's too much.

If you need a guaranteed buffer, our Business Account option automatically blocks the neighbouring area every time you book. If safety is your primary concern, we'd encourage you to register for a Business Accountbefore your first visit β€” it gives you complete control over who is nearby, every session.
Why isn't there screening or privacy netting between the areas?
We did look into this, but unfortunately it's not something we're able to do. Any fabric or mesh would flap and billow in the wind, and for anxious or reactive dogs an unpredictable moving object running the full length of the fence line would almost certainly cause more distress than an occasional glimpse of a dog next door.

The most reliable way to ensure no dogs are visible in adjacent areas is to book a quiet slot using the live calendar, or to register for a Reactive Dog Account which automatically blocks the neighbouring area every time you book.
Can I see the field before booking?
Yes β€” send us a message via the contact pageand we'll arrange a time for you to visit.
How big are the areas?
Each of our three areas is between 0.75 and 1.25 acres β€” plenty of room for a good run, a game of fetch, or recall training with real distance.
