Why training in public spaces is hard

Distractions everywhere

Other dogs, joggers, squirrels — your dog has a hundred reasons not to listen to you.

The recall catch-22

You can't let them off-lead until recall is solid, but you can't train recall without letting them off-lead.

Other dogs interrupt training

Just when you're making progress, an off-lead dog bounds over and your session is ruined.

Too close to roads

If recall fails near a road, the consequences don't bear thinking about.

The ideal training environment

No Distractions

Enclosed, private, just you and your dog. No other animals, no strangers, no competing stimuli.

Safe to Fail

6ft fencing means if recall fails, they can't go anywhere. Your dog learns without risk.

50 Minutes of Focus

Enough time for a proper session without rushing. Warm up, train, play, and cool down.

Training questions

Can I bring a trainer?
Absolutely. Many professional dog trainers use our field with their clients. It's your session — use it however works best.
Is there enough space for recall practice?
Yes. Each area gives your dog plenty of room to run and practise coming back from a distance.
Can I bring training equipment?
Yes — long lines, treat pouches, clickers, agility equipment, whatever you need. Just take it with you when you leave.
How often should I book for training?
Most trainers recommend regular short sessions. Weekly bookings work well, and our membership plans offer great value for regular visits.
